Reforest Radar is a Chrome new-tab extension prototype for satellite forest restoration challenges.

## Product Definition

Reforest Radar replaces the Chrome new tab page with one dated forest-loss source image, a 10 by 10 local restoration grid, and source/limitation text. Users can restore local demo tiles and copy share text. The MVP does not claim that clicking a tile creates real-world planting.

## Privacy

The MVP stores restored tile counts in Chrome local extension storage. It does not collect browsing history, page content, search terms, or telemetry.

## Limitations

- No continuous satellite imagery feed in the MVP.
- No real planting or restoration claim until a verified partner, receipt trail, and monitoring language are connected.
- Included imagery is a dated NASA Earth Observatory source image.
- Forest loss is broader than confirmed human-caused deforestation.
